What is the role?
This role will support Gatwick's business units, enabling better decision making, process efficiencies and revenue generation. What will you do? (Accountabilities)
- Responsible for working with Gatwick's delivery partners to achieve agreed outcomes
- Responsible for implementing data flows to connect operational systems, providing data for analytics and business intelligence (BI) systems
- Responsible for documenting source-to-target mappings
- Responsible for re-engineering manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use
- Responsible for writing, reviewing, and enhancing ETL (extract, transform, load) scripts and code to ensure the ETL process performs optimally
- Responsible for helping the business to articulate and develop business intelligence reports that can be reused
- Responsible for the build of accessible data sets for analysis
Do you have what we're looking for? (Skills & experience)
- Proven track record of using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Google Big Query and similar tools
- Experience of data modelling, data analytics, big data and business intelligence
- Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
- Experience of working in complex and highly integrated IT environments
- Experience using a range of delivery mechanisms e.g. waterfall and agile
- Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers
- Experience of delivering ad-hoc user training and providing support to the end users
- Excellent verbal and written skills, able to translate and deliver technical information to a non-technical audience
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to shape and translate business needs
- Ability to produce high- and low-level design documentation
- Proven track record of engaging with delivery teams with to deliver business outcomes
- Knowledge of IT market and trends, particularly in data analytics
