What is the role?

Gatwick Airport is evolving at an exceptional pace, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Operations Integrator (Airfield) to join a high-performing team shaping and delivering the airport's future infrastructure.

This supports successful project delivery while maintaining a safe and efficient airfield operation. The Senior Operations Integrator manages the interface between specified airfield construction projects and the Airfield Operations team through construction planning and delivery to achieve Airfield Operational Readiness.

What will you do?

This role is responsible for ensuring high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance across assigned airport projects by delivering regular safety engagement, inspections, and reporting to promote a strong safety culture. It involves managing and supporting Operations Integrators to ensure effective operational integration and successful project outcomes, while leading engagement with both airside and landside stakeholders such as Airfield Operations, Air Traffic Control, airlines, ground handlers, and engineering teams.

The position oversees operational readiness trials, feasibility studies, and workshops, ensuring that projects are safely integrated into airport operations with minimal disruption. It also includes identifying and mitigating operational risks throughout the project lifecycle, reviewing constructibility and operational impacts, and ensuring designs meet regulatory and operational requirements set by bodies such as the Civil Aviation Authority.

Do you have what we're looking for?

This is a unique opportunity to support the planning and execution of complex taxiway, stand, and infrastructure projects while ensuring operational safety, regulatory compliance, and minimal disruption to airport activities. You will be instrumental in implementing the Operational Integration Strategy across the Airfield Construction Programme, supporting projects from feasibility through to seamless handover into business-as-usual.

• Experience in airfield projects, including managing concurrent projects.
• Understanding of airfield operations, design, and Obstacle Limitation Surfaces.
• Knowledge of ICAO and CAA compliance standards.
• Experience delivering safeguarding activities in an aerodrome environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Practical problem-solving ability and resilience in ambiguous situations.
• Full UK driving licence (Ability to obtain Airside Driving Permit and Manoeuvring License)
• CSCS card or a valid CITB Health, Safety, and Environment test certificate.
