This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business. 

What is the role? 

Leads the operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of Cyber Security technologies and services, reducing organisational risk through effective security controls, vulnerability and exposure management, technical assurance and security-by-design practices. 

What will you do? 

• Ownership of Cyber Toolsets, configuration and lifecycle management, including inputting into strategic direction for latest investments in defending GAL  

• Define and maintain security standards for the implementation and operation of technical controls  

• Act as the lead cyber security SME within IT and business projects, ensuring security requirements are defined, assured and effectively implemented  

• Manage and continuously improve Vulnerability and Exposure Management (CTEM) capabilities across Gatwick systems 

• Provide governance, assurance and oversight of remediation activities, driving risk reduction and timely closure of identified exposures  

• Support the Cyber Technical Assurance Programme, including security reviews, control validation, penetration testing, purple teaming and security-by-design assurance  

• support risk assessments and threat-modelling sessions, 

• Support and manage the penetration testing programme, ensuring tests are planned, executed, tracked and remediated in line with organisational risk priorities  

• Provide security assurance and oversight for AI and Generative AI technologies, ensuring appropriate security controls and monitoring are in place 

Do you have what we're looking for? 

• Technical expertise across network monitoring, intrusion detection, and security of web, wireless & cloud, 

• Practical experience with Content filtering and secure web gateways  

• Experience with MITRE-ATTACK frameworks and threat modelling 

• In-depth experience of designing, implementing and operating complex enterprise security engineering solutions across cloud, endpoint and hybrid environments.  

• Experience managing, operating and optimising Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, acting as the technical SME to ensure secure connectivity, least privilege access and policy effectiveness.  

• Experience of integrating security controls across endpoint, network, identity and data layers to provide defence-in-depth.  

• Strong understanding of security controls across Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hybrid enterprise environments.  

• Excellent ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  

• Strong documentation and reporting capability to support audit, governance and continuous improvement activities.  

• Ability to prioritise workload based on impact and risk.  

• This role will require being a member of the cyber on-call rota. 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.  

• Relevant information security certifications  

• Microsoft Security Certifications
